Brief Biography
Judging from the many questions we get about our past escapades, there's obviously quite a few people interested. If you are one of them you may want to read the more detailed History.
Peter Correa - Drums       Eric Chipulina - Guitar/vocals       Alan Fish - Bass/vocals
Egypt was formed in London in 1987, originally as a four-piece metal band,
recording their first album for HTD Records and touring the UK the following year.

They split soon after leaving Alan Fish and Eric Chipulina to carry on through
several line-up changes until Peter Correa joined in 1991.

By now the music had long since evolved to the heavy blues/rock they play today.

In 1994 they recorded their second album for HTD Records Preserving The Dead.
This album reflects their current bluesier style.

All three members had around that time concurrently played in
The Groundhogs and featured on several albums etc.

In May 2004 the band released their third CD Midnight Sun for Blues Matters Records.

There is a new CD scheduled for release soon on Stable Records
